A stray dog injured an Internacional player during a clash against Varrobella’s Brazil in the home league, during an attack on the opposing team’s goal.
The dog jumped onto the grass on the pitch early in the second half, trying to get the ball out of the players, before starting to rush towards the midfield.
The players continued the match despite the animal’s appearance and the Internacional team were leading an attack before the dog knocked one of the attackers down to the ground as they scrambled for the ball.
The player lay on the grass for a while, holding her leg in pain, but she continued the game, after the dog was caught and taken off the field.
The match ended 5-0 in favor of Internacional.
