Most parents fear that their children will not have the opportunity to secure a decent future, but what worries football star Cristiano Ronaldo is that his son is leading a luxurious life, which could be detrimental to his to come up.
The star of Italian club Juventus has expressed concerns about his son’s future, according to his friend, martial arts champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
A report from the “Kick Off” website said Ronaldo told Nurmagomedov that his ten-year-old son did not have the motivation to succeed him, due to his comfortable upbringing.
Nurmagomedov said in an interview with Russian channel “Krasava” on YouTube, that he spoke with Ronaldo, when they met, about the reasons for the moral stimulation.
Nurmagomedov added that Ronaldo had told him he wanted his son to succeed him, but he feared he would not succeed, due to the luxury he enjoyed.
He told Portuguese superstar Nurmagomedov that when he was his son’s age he only dreamed of buying a simple pair of shoes.
“His son has everything, so he’s afraid he’ll never be hungry. The truth is, people are driven by hunger,” Nurmagomedov said.
“A person needs motivation, a person needs a desire to achieve things. When you have everything, it is difficult to find a suitable source of motivation,” said the Russian martial arts champion.
The “Kick Off” report said Ronaldo’s son “Ronaldo Junior” inherited his father’s scoring ability, having scored 58 goals in 28 U9 League appearances.
