The US space agency NASA has announced the displacement of an asteroid "EA2", heading towards the planet at a speed of 5 km per second, to be closer to the Earth on March 22 next.
According to NASA, the asteroid would be 305,000 km from the Earth, less than 80,000 km from Earth to the Moon. The agency has not yet estimated the size of the asteroid, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.
Scientists warn of the collision of the asteroid with the Earth, although the distance that separates it from Earth is great, but there are fears about the impact, resulting in natural disasters, such as that a shock wave, which will result in the death of millions of people.
