In a scandalous incident, an Egyptian citizen died of a stroke due to ridicule on social media.
An image of the citizen during the prayer of Eid al-Adha was ridiculed on the Internet, while he appeared praying on his bike and that image was published with irony.
For his part, a member of Fatwa Committee of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Saleh Abdul Hamid accused all those who participated in the publication and defamation of the man responsible for what happened to him, in expressing his indignation.
He stated in a statement that this man's prayer was comparable to an animal prayer or purity in soles, and that all alumni and even forensic students knew it, pointing out that no one knew his situation and that God had accepted his prayers more than those who ridiculed him.
