Google recently launched a new feature that invites Gmail users to expose their accounts and urges them to protect themselves.
The new tool is accessible via the Settings and Passwords option and then Google Checkup Password.
The verification process is simple enough to sign in through the Google Chrome browser so that the platform alerts you if the password is violated.
According to the site "Time", Google relies on an encrypted database of traffic words often associated with hacking and piracy operations.
Later, Google compares your traffic to other suspicious words and the encrypted check does not affect the user's personal data.
If the verification process detects a match between the two words, Google recommends that you change the password before it's too late, as hackers might put a different word.
Google initially allows users to change their passwords, and several recovery options can be used while forgetting the password.
Technical experts recommend replacing the password from time to time, especially as this new feature is only the alert and does not protect against the risk of a final.
