Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have embarked on a new partnership to develop a new file transfer technology between the phones of the three companies, based on Bluetooth connectivity to mimic Apple AirDrop technology.
Today, a new partnership between three Chinese giants, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, is launched to support the next generation of three enterprise phones with wireless file transfer technology. The technology will work in the interface MIUI for Xiaomi, Oppo ColorOS and FuntouchOS from Vivo and based on the Android operating system.
The technology will transfer files between the three companies via Bluetooth and will support the transfer of files up to 20 Mbps. This technology should also use Wi-Fi background networks, as in AirDrop technology.
Xiaomi also confirmed that it is inviting other companies to participate in the development of this technology, which will be launched in beta next month.
It should be noted that Google is also working on the development of the system's Fast Share feature, called a service in Google Play, which prompted the three companies to develop a special technology that simulates Google's technology for file transfer and sharing. This alliance is like Huawei for example.
