MADRID (Reuters) – Barcelona announced Monday the details of the injury inflicted on Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen against Levante yesterday, at the 16th day of La Liga.
According to the official Barcelona statement, Vermaelen felt uncomfortable during the meeting and medical examinations were performed this morning at the bottom of the right leg.
Fermailen will be absent from the league for a month and the Catalan club will be in a state of injury, injured by Samuel Ommetti, Sergio Roberto and Nelson Semedo.
Vermaelen took part in the match on Wednesday, won by Barcelona with a white five. He came out in the 52nd minute and took the place of Brazil's Arthur Milo.
