It is now possible for anyone in the world to check the weather on Mars, thanks to a new tool revealed by the US Department of Aeronautics and Space (NASA).
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Tuesday that the Insight probe was providing daily weather reports on the Internet.
The highest temperature recorded on Mars, known as the Red Planet, last Sunday, according to the latest available data, is minus 17 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is minus 95 degrees Celsius.
The probe is also equipped with the first magnetometer, which will measure the variations of local magnetic fields.
The probe should continue to operate for at least two years.
Insight landed on Mars in November, becoming the first US spacecraft probe to land on the Red Planet six years ago.
