A group of researchers from the State University of Singapore has come up with a new treatment for people with Alzheimer's disease and the risk of developing it with age, as well only for forgotten people.
The new treatment, widely available and reasonably priced, was just mushrooms. Two servings were enough to prevent Alzheimer's disease in the elderly.
The researchers found that eating that amount, which equates to 300 grams a week, to prevent illness in the elderly, according to a British "dailymail" quote.
The fungus contributes to an amino component that the human body can not secure and is shown to be weak in people with Alzheimer's disease.
According to a study conducted by a team of scientists on 600 elderly people in China, the researchers found that those who regularly eat this amount of fungi are 50% less likely to contract the disease.
Dr. Irwin Xia, one of the authors of the study, described the fungus as containing an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory ergotionin.
