The skies of Egypt and the Arab region are witnessing one of the best meteor showers of the year 2021, namely the Perseids, which will reach their peak starting at midnight on Thursday August 12 and during the hours before sunrise on Friday August 13. when it is expected to fall this year at a rate of up to 100 meteors per hour.
Dr Ashraf Tadros, professor of astrophysics at the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research and former head of the department of astronomy, said the Pershawiyat meteor shower is one of the most famous meteor showers that astronomers enthusiasts follow in the northern hemisphere, explaining that it is the fifth in order of meteor showers throughout the year. Its peak is August 12 and 13, and the best time to see it is after midnight until dawn the next day.
And the association continued: In order to monitor Perseid meteors, it must be from a dark place away from city lights with a wide view of the sky to get the best results, and from those places (Valley of the Moon) in the town of Asfan (120 kilometers) north of Jeddah or other dark places.
Masrawy offers you the best places to observe meteors.
– The Fayoum desert

If camping there, spend most of the Fayum activities outdoors like sandboarding, horseback riding or exploration of monuments. And the best, of course, is the breathtaking night view of the Fayoum Towers overlooking the magnificent Magic Lake in the middle of the desert.
It is also considered one of the best places in the White Desert, North Coast, Sharm el-Sheikh, Nuweiba, and Wahid Siwa.
