A recent study shows that NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – A simple exercise helps reduce blood pressure as much as drugs.
The study, led by Professor Hussain Naji, principal investigator at the London School of Economics and Political Science, revealed that the exercises had resulted in a similar drop in systolic blood pressure, such as antihypertensive drugs commonly used in people hypertension.
The study was conducted after 194 randomized trials on the effect of antihypertensive drugs and 197 tests on the effect of high-pressure reduction exercises.
It was found that the exercises produced the same result with the drug, reducing the pressure by 8.96 mmHg on average, for those suffering from high pressure, as the highest figure in the pressure reading equal to or greater than 140.
