A team from the World Health Organization (WHO) will visit several Saudi cities next week, including in Taif governorate, to conduct the initial evaluation of the Healthy Cities program to verify the criteria for classifying healthy cities.

Taif governor Saad Al-Maimouni, chairman of the main committee of the health program of Taif city, asked the relevant authorities to exploit the potential of this team to see all the successes that will allow Taif to win the city of health for the next three years.

Taif is the largest health city in the Kingdom and the Middle East Network region. This visit will include the opening of the headquarters and an exhibition of Taif Health City in its new headquarters in the province, as well as many government and private services.

Taif is looking for this accreditation because of its positive investments and tourism revenues, various government agencies and the private sector, where Taif is characterized by important elements that will contribute to its rating.

It should be noted that a number of cities in the Kingdom are fighting for the title of Healthy City.
