The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Dr Muhammad Al-Abdali, revealed that the Kingdom will give a third dose of the Corona vaccine to certain groups.
In his speech at the ministry’s press conference today, the health spokesperson said the ministry has started giving the booster dose to patients with chronic kidney disease or those who have received organ transplants.
He pointed out that the ministry is currently preparing to include the elderly or those over 60 years of age and older, who have passed the 8-month period of receiving the second dose, noting that the ministry will announce details of this category soon. to start including them in the stage of stimulant doses.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health said the number of doses administered in the Kingdom exceeded 41 million and more than 18 million people had completed the vaccination.
The Ministry of Health had stressed the importance of receiving two doses of the emerging coronavirus, Covid 19, regardless of previous infections.
The Health Department, on Twitter, said that in the event of infection with the virus, the initiative should be taken to supplement doses of the vaccine immediately after recovery.
