Daisy-May Demeter is believed to be the first amputee to participate in an official New York Fashion Week parade

A truncated nine-year-old mannequin participated in a fashion show at Fashion Week in New York, USA.

It is believed that Daisy-May Demeter of Birmingham is the first amputee to participate in an official New York Fashion Week parade.

Her father said that she was "amazing" and "very proud" because she exhibited a fashion collection wearing the Lulu AGG brand.

Daisy-May will participate in a parade at the Eiffel Tower later this month at Paris Fashion Week.

Daisy-May began her modeling career at the age of eight

Daisy-Mai was born with an illness in which there was missing a bone fragment in the leg, forcing the doctors to amputate it.

Daisy-May began her modeling career at the age of eight and debuted with a fashion show for the River Island brand.

She was invited to New York Fashion Week after being seen by Eni Higidus-Boeron, Lulu AGG's fashion designer, and performing at Children's Fashion Week in London.

Ella, her 11-year-old sister, accompanied her on the podium on Sunday.

"Daisy and Ella are extraordinary," said his father Demeter.

"Daisy works as a professional and benefits from it."

"She is really proud of what she has accomplished," he said.
