More than a year ago, Google launched the Family Link Parental Control app on their kids' Android phones and remotely controlled them until they were turned off. It now also supports Chromebooks.
Although Chromebooks are not commonplace in kids compared to tablets, Google tries to interest them and convince parents to do so. This support is provided under which sites visited may be controlled, authorized and prohibited.
The app also controls Android apps available on Chromebooks and can even control purchases within apps.
