The center provides a supportive environment for breastfeeding at KAUST in coordination with the university and sports club and makes home visits to mothers immediately after birth to allow the mother to breastfeed.

It is worth mentioning that the child-friendly hospital initiative, launched by the World Health Organization in 1991, is part of global efforts to implement, promote and support breastfeeding. It aims to create a supportive environment for mothers in health facilities and to train relevant staff in mothers' assistance and motivation skills. breastfeeding.

The Nutrition Branch of the Ministry of Health is paying particular attention to this initiative as part of the breastfeeding promotion program by monitoring, monitoring and evaluating hospitals. in the public and private sectors and by organizing courses, conferences and consultations. More than 65 hospitals and child-friendly health centers have been approved.
