The Confederation of African Football has withdrawn the organization of the finals of Cameroon

Egypt won the 2019 Nations Africa Cup at the vote of the African Union Executive Committee on South Africa.

The 2019 finals were to be held in Cameroon, but the delay in the completion of the sports facilities agreed upon in the nomination file prompted the union in November to withdraw from the organization.

Egypt, hosting the fifth African final, has six months to complete preparations for the hosting of the 24 participating teams before the start of the tournament in June.

The African Union has given Cameroon another opportunity to organize the next session in 2021. This means that the host of the 2021 session will be transferred to the 2023 session and that the winner of the session of 2023 will be postponed to the next session.

The Ivory Coast, which won the 2023 session, objected to the decision and filed a grievance with the sports court.

Guinea has agreed to organize the 2025 cycle instead of the 2023 cycle that was originally assigned to it.

Al-Kaf announced that its executive committee would meet on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. The Egyptian Football Federation announced the participation of 18 members in the meeting after the departure of Hani Abu Reda (Egypt) and Danny Gordon (South Africa) in order to lift the voters' embarrassment. Egypt has chosen six major stadiums in different provinces to host the tournament, as well as training grounds.

But the organization of Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations faces the challenge of public participation, knowing that the championship matches are held in front of a restricted audience for security reasons. However, officials of the Egyptian Football Federation downplayed these fears, citing the success of matches and clubs in the continental qualifiers ahead of a large crowd.

Egypt had already hosted the African Cup of Nations four times, the last one in 2006. The 1959 edition was crowned with the title, the 1974 edition, the 1986 edition, Egypt winning the cup, the 2006 edition and the title. No African country has ever hosted this number of UN Cups.

South Africa hosted the 1996 African Nations in place of Kenya, which apologized for not harboring financial difficulties, and was crowned by the presence of the late leader Nelson Mandela. South Africa has also organized the 2013 version instead of Libya, which the AU has removed from the organization because of the political crisis and security in the country.

Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, confirmed that his country was ready to host the 2019 Nations Africa Cup, saying "Egypt has a high level of education and training. Infrastructure, as well as stadiums and roads ".

The decision to award the 2019 African Cup of Nations was announced in Dakar, the Senegalese capital, hosting the African Footballer of the Year trophy.

And to compete for the Egyptian prize, Mohammed Salah, who seeks to retain the title, and Gabon, Pierre Amer Obamyang, Senegalese, Sadio Mani.
