Microsoft finally adds the call record to Skype. Later this month, Skype will be updated to include the built-in call recording. The new feature will be based on cloud storage, allowing you to access Skype call records on different devices, including Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and even Linux.

The Skype Team at Microsoft Explains:

The new Call Recording feature is the first time that Skype has launched the built-in call recorder function since its original release almost 15 years ago. Skype users have had to rely on a number of third-party applications to record calls, Avaer becoming one of the most popular apps. Microsoft has also begun experimenting with a new mode for Skype creators to allow video bloggers and media moderators to integrate Xsplit, Wirecast and Vmix into Skype.

The registration of new Skype calls is part of a number of new features coming to the application this summer. Microsoft will launch Skype call recording at the end of July and will be available for all the latest versions of Skype over time
