Al-Dustour learned that Bassma was officially separated from her husband, Mr. Amr Hamzawy, a professor of political science at Cairo University.
In recent days, serious problems were reported between Basma and Hamzawi during their stay in America, where they divorced inside the Egyptian embassy.
