The African Football Confederation (CAF) inflicted a penalty on Esperance in the context of the attack on the Al Ahly bus in the final of the African Champions League and the outbreak fireworks during the match.
The official website of the Tunisian club Esperance indicates that the Disciplinary Committee of the African Confederation has decided to organize two matches for Esperance in the African Champions League, which are currently held without public presence, without signing any other financial penalty.
It should be noted that some of Esperance Tunisia supporters intercepted supporters of the club and Ahli bus as they were traveling to Rades Stadium and had assaulted, injuring Hisham Mohammed in the face.
It is worth mentioning that the African Union issued a security recommendation calling for the closure of the Esperance Association of Hope supporters' stands for two matches in the context of the riots that took place in the semi-finals of the Champions League before the first Angolan August.
Al-Ahly had won three goals against Esperance in the last stage of the African Champions League at the Burj Al Arab military stadium, but lost in the second leg, a triumph.
