Yesterday Sunday, the BBC announced its intention to convert its apologies to the royal family for the dialogue the network described as deceptive, which was conducted by network outlet Martin Bashir with the late Princess Diana in 1995. The investigation revealed that Bashir gave fake bank statements to Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, which tricked him into arranging an interview with Princess Diana for the BBC.
And CNN correspondent Max Foster previously reported that Bashir used false documents indicating that palace workers were working against Princess Diana and receiving salaries to spy on her, and Matt Whistler, a former BBC graphic designer, admitted he was working on data design. A fake banker after Bashir contacts him, in order to introduce her to Diana’s brother and persuade him to make his sister talk to him.
The 1995 interview shook British public life, shocking Buckingham Palace; Due to Diana’s comments which shed rare light on what was going on within the Royal Family at the time, and this meeting marked the end of Princess Diana, his life fell completely after him, so that she officially separated from Prince Charles in 1996, and she died the following year in a car accident in Paris.
