Al Ahli club officials plan to send a delegation from the Red Fort to Morocco to negotiate with Al Raja club to end the contract of Mahmoud Benhaleb, the Moroccan striker that Al Ahli wishes to join in the next transfer slot.

Benhilib is one of the Arab players that Ahli wants to join in January, especially after playing at Raja and recently leading him to the Confederations Cup crown under the guidance of Spanish coach Garrido, former Ahly coach.

The 22-year-old scored 12 goals in the last Confederation Cup and was named top scorer. The Moroccan press said the player could soon leave Raja.

Ahli officials are seeking to include the Moroccan striker in the lineage of his countryman Walid Azaro, who has signed Ahli's contract with him several seasons ago by sending a representative of the Red Castle to end the deal.
