Commenting on statements from one of Zamalek's president's newspapers, Sherif Fouad, a spokesman for Ahli's board of directors, said the Red Fort had sparked an air crisis.
"Al-Ahli does not interfere in the affairs of others," said Fouad in a speech about the "Kalam in the media" broadcast on Al-Qalaa Al-Hamra.
"No official statement has been issued to Ahli who is attacking Zamalek gambling and sub-contractors."
The official spokesman for the club: "Ahli supports all clubs engaged in clashes in Africa".
"We support the Football Federation in the organization of all competitions and help to succeed."
