Engineer Ryan Al Harbi, general manager of operations and maintenance at Al Haramain Express, said Thursday that the flight schedule, specially prepared for the Hajj 1440 season, included 192 trips, pointing out that operational operations provided for double trains during the pilgrimage season in order to meet the growing demand for this quality service. Two trains were connected to each trip, according to the statement from the Saudi Embassy in Cairo.
Each train has a capacity of 417 seats, bringing the total number of seats to 834 seats per trip, exceeding the capacity of 20 large buses. Thus, each train trip, 20 bus routes are removed to improve the level of safety of pilgrims, pilgrims and visitors.
Al Harbi added that more than 50,000 pilgrims from different countries of the world had benefited from rail transport services during this season, in addition to meeting the growing demand for passenger transport for the holidays of Eid al-Adha between Mecca and Jeddah and Medina during the season.
He explained that the operational plans for the next season of Hajj 1441 AH will double with the inauguration of the fifth station of the Haramain train at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, where pilgrims arriving in Jeddah via National and international flights will be able to fly directly to Mecca by the new station.
He stated that the station was characterized by its connection with the airport to facilitate the service of pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, as well as to facilitate the arrival of arrivals and departures by air. The station also includes 6 rail lines and the station can accommodate more than 1,000 passengers at the hour and more than 1,000 departures from the station.
He pointed out that the Department of Employment measured the level of satisfaction of the pilgrims with the services provided and that the results were very positive.
