British researchers have come up with solar panels the size of a chip that can be attached to the inside of the fabric to allow the user to generate energy throughout. the day and then use it to charge cell phones and smart watches.
Researchers at the University of Nottingham Trent said the new technology had already been tested and was able to charge mobile phones and was so isolated that it was not damaged if it was exposed to water for washing.
The new solar panels have a size of about three millimeters long and 1.5 mm wide, almost invisible to the naked eye, and the user does not feel it when it wear this type of clothing.
"By stabilizing solar cells in clothing, we can make clothes suitable for producing sustainable energy while reducing carbon emissions," said Tilak Dias, head of the research team.
It is possible to generate between 2.5 and 10 watts using 200 of these small solar panels, which is enough to charge a mobile phone. If you install about 2,000 of these small paintings in clothes, you can generate enough energy to run a smartphone.
