Exemption from the engineer responsible for the King Fahd Stadium
The General Authority of Sport announced that the investigative committee created by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Al Turki Al Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees to examine the ground of the International Stadium King Fahd, began his duties under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Abdul-Ilah Al-Dalak, Vice-President. The committee noted that the problem was not limited to King Fahd Stadium, but that the ground floor of Prince Faisal Stadium had the same mistakes, which would delay its preparation until 30 Jumada I, corresponding to February 5, while King Fahd Stadium will have to be replaced. Accordingly, the Committee presented its report to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, in support of the report of an international stadium consultant and their development, who issued the following resolutions: His Royal Highness Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal:
First: terminate the assignment of the responsible engineer to supervise the stadium and transfer it to the follow-up service to implement the discipline system to insist that the match (Al- Nasr-Al-Ansar) must be established on the ground of King Fahd International Stadium.
Second: Termination of the contract with the engineer in charge of the immediate planting of the stadium.
Third: Restructure the Technical Affairs Agency to fulfill its responsibilities and implement its commitments with the required quality and precision, define responsibilities and mechanisms of action and take appropriate measures to avoid the lack of performance , monitoring and supervision found.
The Authority, under the leadership of His Highness the Chairman of the Board, has begun to attract companies specializing in the cultivation and treatment of stadiums and to take urgent measures to achieve quality and respect the required specifications.
In announcing this, the Authority affirms that it strives to meet all the requirements, to create an appropriate environment for the practice of sports activities and to empower the defaulters so as not to repeat the error or its occurrence.
