DUBAI: French coach Zinedine Zidane will be paid to Real Madrid during his second term at the club, the Spanish newspaper Mondo Deportivo reported.
According to the Spanish newspaper, Zidane will receive 12 million euros, twice his former salary at Meringhi, for 7.5 million euros.
The newspaper pointed out that the increase in Zidane's salary, going back to the fact that Real Madrid had tried to convince the French to accept the Royal Club's leadership offer, especially that it was interested in clubs Manchester United, Paris St Germain, Juventus.
The salary of the French coach with the royal team will gradually increase until the end of the decade, in the summer of 2022.
The newspaper reports that Zidane's salary at Real Madrid has increased in four years, from 2.5 million euros to 5.5 million euros, after winning the eleventh title of the Champions League .
The Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, who was competing with Zidane to head Real Madrid, his previous salary with Manchester United was 20 million euros.
