Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the board of directors of the Sports Federation of Islamic Solidarity, officially resigned Thursday night from his presidency.

Turki Al-Sheikh has resigned from the presidency of the Saudi Olympic Committee and will be invited to the Extraordinary General Assembly to elect a chairman of the board of directors.

The resignation of Turki Al-Sheikh from the presidency of the Olympic Committee and the Federation of Sports of Islamic Solidarity, after his dismissal from his post of President of the General Authority of Sport and his appointment to the Presidency of Entertainment, and the appointment of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal as President.
