A debate in the Algerian Parliament on the candidacy of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for a fifth term has given rise to a bitter debate between deputies.
The meeting, which aimed to discuss President Bouteflika's candidacy for the next presidential election, has turned into a heated debate between MPs.
MPs boycotted Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia's speech in parliament and left the session after criticizing protests against Bouteflika's candidacy.
Speaking to parliament on Thursday, Al-Nahar said that "young people are wise in the peaceful spirit of protesters during demonstrations," he warned.
