Two years after the purchase of "Souk.com"
Amazon is about to launch its own platform in the Middle East since Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, two years after the acquisition of Souk.com.
The report, broadcast by "CNBC" America and "Amazon", told some North American sellers that they must sell their products to Middle Eastern customers through the main website and not the market.
He added that the US company was seeking to promote its unified brand "Amazon" in the region and to encourage more sellers in the United States to expand in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
"It's not clear if Amazon intends to close a market or is trying to divert traffic and sales to its main position," he said, adding that Amazon was announcing more vacancies in a market in Riyadh, Amman and Cairo. And plans to employ 600 people in Dubai this year.
