Amendment of the Terrorism Act and discussion on the activation of Arab Justice and Security Agreements

At a meeting of experts and representatives of the Arab Justice and Interior

The Sultanate completed yesterday its participation in the fifth meeting of the Joint Committee of Experts and Representatives of the Ministries of Justice and Interior of the Arab States, to review the project update Arab model law on the fight against terrorism, held in Cairo, Cairo.
The Committee considered the bill which was closed at its fourth meeting by reading its texts and making amendments in the light of the views expressed by the Arab countries. A special meeting of Arab Justice and Interior Ministers was held in the Tunisian Republic on March 4 to discuss the activation of Arab and judicial agreements on security and safety.
The fifth meeting of the Joint Committee to consider the two-day Arab model bill on combating terrorism is part of the implementation of the resolution adopted by the Council of Europe. Arab Ministers of Justice at its thirty-fourth session last November.
