The family of American actor Ed Asner, who won 7 Emmy Awards, announced his death at the age of 91, in his home surrounded by his family.
Asner played roles in several television series, including “The My Taylor More Show” and “The Grant” in the 70s and 80s of the last century, and also participated in his voice in the famous animated film “Abe” in 2009.
Asner rose to fame for his liberal leanings during his tenure as Chairman of the Screen Actors Guild in the 1980s when he criticized the United States’ involvement in Central America during the reign of former President Ronald Reagan.
