An American TV presenter apologizes live after comparing his black colleague to a "gorilla".
Last Thursday, Alex Hosden of Coco 5 in Oklahoma City made this comment during a video showing a small gorilla in a local zoo posted on Instagram.
When the little gorilla appeared, Hudson went blank with Jason Hackett, his black television counterpart, and said the monkey "looked a bit like you," according to NBC.
The next day, Hausden apologized to Hackett stating, "Yesterday I said something inappropriate and unintentional and I hurt people. apologize with all my heart for what I said.
Hackett accepted his apology but admitted that the phrase "hurt me".

The incident comes amid growing racial tensions in the United States, as a result of a series of statements by Republican President Donald Trump.
In July, Trump said four non-white Democrat lawmakers should "return" to their original place and later consider Baltimore, a city where the majority of blacks live, "a dangerous and dirty place."
