Qatar Airways was ranked number one in the latest ranking of the world’s best airlines by Britain’s Skytrax, a review body that also produces a highly anticipated annual list of top airports.
The Doha-based airline’s award follows its previous victory at this year’s Airline Ratings awards.
The World’s Best Airline Awards are presented by passengers as part of a customer survey, this time from September 2019 to July 2021.
Passengers were asked about the performance and quality of more than 350 global airlines.
Singapore Airlines placed second on the Skytrax list, while All Nippon Airways of Japan placed second. Third place.
This is the sixth time that Qatar Airways has won its first Skytrax award.

Singapore Airlines was also crowned the Second Best Airline in Asia, winning Best Cabin Crew, World’s Best First Class, World’s Best First Class Seat, and Best Economy Class Catering.
All Nippon Airways Japan was selected as the cleanest cabin in the world, the best airport service in the world, the best flight crew in Asia and the best first class lounge in Asia.
Japan Airlines was absent from the top 10 airlines on the 2019 Skytrax list, but this year it placed fifth.
Meanwhile, Lufthansa and Thai Airways ranked ninth and tenth in 2019, but have fallen on the charts this year to 13th and 23rd, respectively.
Skytrax crowned Air France with the award for the best airline in Europe, while the French national airline was also the only European airline to climb to 10th place overall.
British Airways ranked 11th on the global list, winning the award for Best Airline in the UK, Best Cabin Crew in Europe and Best In-Flight Catering in Premium Economy Class.
In the American market, Delta Airlines has crowned Best Airline in North America and won Best Premium Economy Airline Seat, Best Business Class in North America, and Best Premium Economy Class in North America.
