CAIRO (Reuters) – Egyptian authorities on Wednesday found the body of Egyptian football player Abdullah Sami in the Nile in the southern province of Giza, local press reports said.
According to preliminary investigations into the incident, this 31-year-old man was reportedly drowned in the Nile.
The death of the player was a shock in the sports community among his friends and the clubs for which he played, while a group of players cried through their pages on the site "Facebook".
Sami had previously defended the colors of several Egyptian clubs, such as Al-Ittihad, El-Gouna and Railway, before moving to the Mahalla fishing team.
