NASA's new probe, Insight, captured the red planet and allowed the workgroup and the rest of the world to take a closer look at the solar panels and the area they are in. The survey also sent the first complete picture of the 14-foot land area, which will soon be its own space.

Insight retrieves many images and groups them together to get a complete picture. The silver image captured by the robotic arm is composed of 11 images.

These images allow scientists to look closely at the area before Insight begins to lay down its tools and pierce the ground.
"Semi-rock, hills and holes mean that our equipment will be very safe, it might look like a mere field if it's not on Mars, but we're happy to see it," said Bruce Bannert, senior laboratory investigator of NASA propulsion, Insight.
