An Iraqi official: We will see in the coming days the opening of the border port between Syria and Iraq

General Othman Al-Ghanmi, chief of staff of the Iraqi army, announced that the next few days will see the opening of the border crossing point between Syria and the USSR. Iraq and the continuation of visits, trade and mutual exchanges between the two countries.

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced Sunday the arrival of the Iraqi Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Othman al-Ghanmi, head of a high-level delegation to Damascus to attend the meeting of Chiefs of Staff.
