Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri visited the Sultanate of Oman from 18 to 19 March at the invitation of Oman's Foreign Minister Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah.
Both sides discussed existing bilateral cooperation relations and stressed that it was important to move forward to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, industrial, judicial and security sectors. development, as well as in the fields of education and education. The workforce, civil service and other areas will open new horizons for cooperation between the two countries to achieve their aspirations and hopes.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to joint Arab action based on cooperation, integration, mutual respect and good neighborliness, aimed at strengthening the foundations of stability and sustainable development in the Arab region and to express their solidarity with just Arab questions and to oppose any attempt to undermine national sovereignty, unity and security of the Arab countries.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the role played by the Sultanate of Oman, under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, to establish security and peace in its regional and international environment.
For its part, the Omani side appreciated the leading role played by Egypt under the leadership of HE President Sisi in consolidating security and stability at the regional and international levels and his tireless efforts to consolidate peace , security and development on the African continent.
Both sides also reiterated their rejection of extremism and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their justification, motives and means, and stressed the importance of the efforts concerted regional and international efforts to combat and eliminate Takfiri groups and eliminate their causes while promoting dialogue between nations and peoples.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian and Omani Ministries of Health, an executive program between the ministries of Environment of the two countries, an executive program between the Ministries of Education of the two countries and an executive program between the Ministries of Manpower of the two countries, Cooperation between the two governments in the field of standards, standards, quality and mutual recognition of certificates of conformity for non-food industrial products.
At the end of the meeting, Sameh Shukri expressed thanks and appreciation to the delegation of Oman and the members of the committee for their visit to Egypt and their participation in the next session.
