Apple has launched a new extension for Chrome browser users on Windows that allows them to manage and save passwords associated with the iCloud service on the browser, as is the case with the Safari browser. The extension is called iCloud Passwords.
Apple’s new addition coincides with the launch of iCloud version 12.0 on Windows 10, which brings with it the passwords feature to manage passwords associated with Apple services.
Safari browser usually creates strong passwords when signing up to sites to prevent account penetration, so it is difficult to guess or save passwords, it is stored on the browser and automatically filled in later. The new extension for Chrome aims to create the same protection environment for users, and therefore the ability to sync website passwords across all users’ devices containing the Chrome browser.
