Apple relies on BOE for the supply of OLED screens for iPhone in 2020

In a new report released via Nikkei in Japan, it was noted that Apple is studying the transition to the use of BOE for the supply of OLED displays in order to make a decision by the end of this year.

It seems that Apple is about to change the source of flexible OLED screens for iPhone, which mainly come from the Korean giants Samsung and LG, to look to the next period to rely on the Acquisition of China screens via the company BOE.

The report, released via Nikkei, according to which Apple will decide the source of the OLED screens at the end of this year, where the company performs various tests on the screens to ensure the efficiency of the manufacture of this category, in order to support iPhone phones in 2020, also added that BOE offers OLED screens at 20% less than Samsung.

Several of the previous leaks confirmed Apple's wish to rely on several OLED screen providers, Samsung being currently the leading provider of this category of displays, which could cause damage to Apple as a result of its total dependence on a competitor in the smartphone market.
