Apple Watch's smart watch shipments reached 3.5 million units in the second quarter of this year

As we mentioned previously, shipments do not mean primarily sales, shipping refers to the number of units sent to retail stores, while sales refer to the number of units actually sold to customers.

However, companies usually try to anticipate the demand, so that they do not issue more than necessary, so expect that the number of units sold be close to this figure. In addition, Canalys explained that shipments of wearables totaled 10 million units in the second quarter, giving Apple a smart watch market share of about 34%.

It is also said that the LTE version of the Apple Watch smart clock performed the majority of shipments in Asia, about 60% specifically. This should not be surprising as we have heard that the LTE version has been very popular since its release.
