Sharm El-Sheikh – (DPA):
Leaders of the Arab League and the European Union (EU) will continue their first summit on Monday in the seaside town of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
The last day of the summit includes an interactive dialogue session on "how to deal with regional challenges".
The leaders of both sides pledged, in their speeches yesterday, to strengthen cooperation in the areas of security, the fight against terrorism and the handling of the issue of migration.
Today 's meeting will be closed without the presence of the media. The summit will end this afternoon. A press conference is scheduled after the summit.
This summit is the first leadership level between the League of Arab States and the European Union, with the participation of Heads of State and Government and Foreign Ministers from 50 Arab and European countries.
The summit looks for ways to strengthen cooperation to address common challenges in the political, economic, social, environmental and security fields.
