In turn, resistance committee spokesman Abu Mujahid said: “Martyr Soleimani was concerned about Palestine and deserved to be martyred in Jerusalem because of the support he was providing.”

He stressed that “the martyr Qassem Soleimani posed an existential threat to the Zionist entity and constituted an impregnable roadblock against American plans to control the peoples of the nation and its capacities”.

The Iranian city of Kerman, birthplace of martyr Qassem Soleimani, has continued, since Saturday, to receive large delegations from various Iranian provinces to the martyrs’ cemetery, to offer condolences and to commemorate the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, which will last 10 days.
