"Smart" said: efforts are being made to prevent any country from following Washington's example

Deputy Secretary General of the League of Arab States Hossam Zaki said Monday that efforts by Arab countries prevented the transfer of 40 countries into embassies to the city of Jerusalem.

"A joint Arab effort is underway with the international community to prevent any country from following the example of the United States by transferring its embassy to Jerusalem," he said in a statement issued to Al-Hayat.

He stressed that Palestine was not alone and stood alongside all the Arab countries and that the political will of the Arab States was already great.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States said that American recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights was nil.

The European Union, Russia, China and all the nations of the world had rejected it and the United States could not establish itself in international law.
