Arab countries will go to the Security Council for a resolution against the US move on the Golan

Arab leaders said Sunday (March 31st) that they would seek a UN Security Council resolution against the US decision to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights and warned any other country to follow Washington's example.

Leaders said in a statement issued after the Arab summit in Tunis that the Arab states would submit a draft resolution to the Security Council and seek an opinion at the International Court of Justice "illegitimate and invalidate the US recognition" .

On Monday, US President Donald Trump announced that he was recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
