Arab media are experiencing their worst times because of declining professionalism and credibility

For his part, Dr. Mamoun Fendi, director of the Institute of Strategic Studies in London, Egypt, said the media in the Arab region witnessed a clear disparity and a decline in professionalism.

He added that the absence of science and selection criteria are the most important diseases suffered by the Arab media which, despite the technological advances, offered nothing new and still speak in the language of the years. seventy and seventy of the last century.

In the same context, Sawsan, the Bahraini writer and press writer, explained that the Arab region was living the most dangerous stages because of the existing challenges, noting that governments do not consider the media as a weapon, a soft force or a tool to meet these challenges.

She added, "The recipient is now more receptive to information from social media, not the media." She pointed out that what is published by famous media does not equate to media content, but that they have a wide audience.

The 18th edition of the Arab Media Forum was launched on Wednesday under the theme "Arab Media, Reality and Future" and will conclude Thursday at the Dubai World Trade Center.
