The Arab Broadcasting Union on Thursday paid tribute to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for his support of the Arab world and his concern to consolidate Arab relations and to sponsor specialized organizations, particularly in the audiovisual sector.
Algerian Minister of Communication, Gamal Kaouan, received, on behalf of President Bouteflika, the Director General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, Abdel Rahim Sulaiman, on the sidelines of the annual joint meeting of radio and television coordinators , communication engineers and earth stations for Arab broadcasting and broadcasting organizations.
The Director General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union congratulated President Bouteflika for his efforts, his generous and honorable support, and the care taken by the Federation and the Center for the exchange of information. information and programs, as well as the great achievements of Algeria under his wise leadership and sincere efforts to consolidate solidarity among the Arab nation.
He thanked Algeria for taking the initiative to ensure the construction of the building, which will house the Arab and African Center for the exchange of news and programs and the allocation of funds for this purpose.
He added that "the results of the work of the Union in the field of information exchange are positive and honorable, where 13,000 information is exchanged each year and 10 hours of exchanges daily radio stations, in addition to receiving more than 30 000 information per year from Europe, Asia and the Mediterranean countries ".
For its part, the director general of the African Union of Radio-Television, Gregor Ngaka, said that the Arab and African Center for the exchange of information and programs to be hosted by the African Union. Algeria would exchange experiences and experiences between Arab and African countries, praising the sponsorship of President Bouteflika for this project which will contribute to the definition of the African continent and the elimination of stereotypes promoted by the region.
