The 30th Arab Summit held in Tunis today is, in my opinion, one of the most difficult Arab summits. Modern history in Arab countries has not been characterized by fragmentation and weakness. of the Arab position, as is the case now, and if this political situation persists, the Arab world will disintegrate further. The third time Tunisia has hosted the Arab League summit since its inception.
Although there are a number of Arab issues and problems before this summit, one of the most important topics is the issue of foreign interference in Arab affairs. Perhaps one of the most intrusive countries in the affairs of some Arab countries is Iran, which is developing as an octopus in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iraq and sparking racial and sectarian conflicts.
There is no doubt that this summit is taking place in a context of profound changes: the American embassy has been moved to Jerusalem and Jewish settlements are growing every day to the detriment of Palestinian land. With regard to Syria, the United States has recognized Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. In Lebanon, Hezbollah still controls the Lebanese political decision. In Yemen, the Houthis continue to refuse to implement the Stockholm agreement that they signed. The Iranian regime is urging them to reject him and not to withdraw from Hodeidah. In Libya, there is a struggle for power. And receive unparalleled support from outside forces to empower them in this country and find a solution to the Palestinian-Palestinian conflict.
At the internal level of these countries, there are rights of the Arab citizen to whom previous summits have been addressed, because if the situation stabilizes in the country, the state becomes strong and guarantees political and social stability, strengthening the participation government mechanisms and institutions, strengthening citizens' rights and preserving their dignity. Rationalize, promote equality and equity among all citizens, build social justice and overcome the stereotypes that confront the problems of tomorrow as well as yesterday.
The time in which we live forces us to make internal changes, as did Saudi Arabia when it declared war on corruption and put the emphasis on civil status in which laws, justice, equality and human rights were respected. It is also important to make Arab countries an environment conducive to embracing talents and creators, as they are the true wealth of the homeland and make the Arab environment an attractive environment for Arab skills and so that there is a unified vision of the future and that future generations can lead decent lives, worthy of human rights. A nation that calls for peace, peaceful coexistence and communication with people around the world for the establishment of a safe area in the world.
In spite of all the circumstances and the international situation, we hope that this summit will be a good start and that it will lead to positive results that will satisfy the Arab citizen and give him the best of themselves.
