In recent days, social networking sites have seen a new nickname spread for Lionel Messi, captain of Barcelona and the Argentina national team, who is “Ankara”, but few people know where he came from and how title came.
Luketa Rodriguez, famous Argentine singer and actor, gave a new nickname to his compatriot Messi, during the current team camp, in view of the quarter-finals of the Copa America.
According to the Spanish site minutouno, the new nickname “Ankara” came as Lukita watched a video of Messi’s historic goal against Getafe.
When Messi took the ball in midfield and dribbled everyone who faced him, commentator Joachim Maria Boyal repeatedly said “Messi’s confrontation”, but its pronunciation is similar to “Ankara Messi”, from where the new nickname.

Messi scored Maradona’s goal against Getafe 14 years ago in the Copa del Rey, similar to the late Diego Armando Maradona’s goal in the 1986 World Cup.
