Egypt. Urgent trial of artist Mohamed Ramadan

She explained that Ramadan posted a video of his recent visit to southern Egypt and said in an accompanying comment: “Hello to those with a clear heart and a wise mind, my dear Republic.”

Today, Monday, the Cairo court for urgent matters fixed the session of December 19, as the first session of the trial of the artist Mohamed Ramadan, for insulting the Egyptian people.

Tariq Mahmoud, the lawyer, filed the case “urgently” against the background of the Egyptian artist’s photos being circulated on social media sites with an Israeli artist called Omir Arm in Dubai.

Mahmoud presented a warning on the hand of a report to the Syndicate of Theatrical Professions, calling on him to fire the artist, Mohamed Ramadan, for immediate investigation and remove him from the union’s hours.

Ramadan commented on his account in a quick response, following the release of the image: “There is no place for me to ask everyone about their identity and nationality”, in an attempt to avoid the storm caused by the image.
